Some stories don't come from business plans or market research. They come from moments you never expected, like a bedtime conversation with your child.
A Story Born from a Child's Imagination
It all started with a conversation with my son, Doruk. He had this idea for a story about a boy who sets off on a journey to find his lost sister somewhere in space. A simple concept, but the way he described it, with genuine excitement and imagination, struck a chord with me.
At that moment, I didn't think I'd actually turn it into a real game. But the idea lingered. Days passed, and I found myself sketching scenes, writing dialogue, and thinking about how to bring Doruk's story to life.
Building Something Bigger Than Myself
A Tiny Space Adventure became a labor of love. As a solo developer, I had to figure out everything: game design, programming, art direction, music, and marketing. It was overwhelming, exhausting, and at times, frustrating. But it was also one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.
Every planet, every puzzle, every line of dialogue carried a piece of Doruk's imagination and my own passion. That's what made it special. This wasn't just a game; it was a story we built together.
The Role of AI
I want to be transparent: AI played a significant role in this project. From generating visual assets to helping with coding challenges, AI tools allowed me to create something I couldn't have made alone. Some may criticize this approach, but for me, it was about turning an idea into reality with the resources I had.
Lessons Learned
Developing A Tiny Space Adventure taught me a lot. Here are some key takeaways:
- Start small, dream big: The game started as a simple story but evolved into something much larger. Don't underestimate the power of small beginnings.
- Embrace imperfection: No project is ever perfect. At some point, you have to let go and share your work with the world.
- Cherish the journey: The process of creating something is just as valuable as the final product.
What's Next?
A Tiny Space Adventure is now available on Steam, Microsoft Store, and itch.io. I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who has played it, shared feedback, and supported this journey.
As for what's next? I have new ideas brewing, and I can't wait to share them with you. But for now, I'm taking a moment to appreciate this milestone.
Thank you for being part of this adventure. It's only the beginning.

P.S. A special thanks to my son Doruk. Without your imagination, this game wouldn't exist.
